Tail erect and eyes so keen.
Strong and quick but thin and lean.
Fills her prey with fear and fright.
Hunting on the darkest night.

Seeking out her prey tonight.
Her claws and teeth gleeming white.
The moon appears in the cloudless sky.
Her howls are long and strong and high.

She sniffs the air and scents her prey.
The horses in the valley neigh.
The wolf has failed to kill tonight.
The moon and stars are shining bright.

The morning comes, her rest she needs.
While we do our daily needs.
Her cubs have now begun to play.
At the dawn of the new day
