About Wolf Song of Alaska

Wolf Song of Alaska is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, apolitical organization committed to achieving an understanding of the wolf and other wild canids through education, science and public awareness.

Incorporated in 1988 in the State of Alaska, Wolf Song of Alaska has distinguished itself as a highly visible and resourceful organization that is devoted to an understanding the plight of the wolf, its natural, history, its varied relation to humans throughout the ages, and its role as a major symbol in folklore, myth, legend, art, and religion.

Wolf Song of Alaska's world-class web site and education programs have greatly impacted the general public's knowledge about the wolf other wild canids, and other predators in the wild. From local school programs and youth organizations, to the hosting of renowned educator, "Wolfman/Critterman," Wolf Song of Alaska continues to expand its education programs and projects.

Wolf Song of Alaska hosted the internationally-acclaimed "Wolves & Humans" traveling exhibit at the William A. Egan Civic & Convention Center in downtown Anchorage, Alaska. This magnificent and acclaimed exhibit toured North America beginning in 1983 and was viewed by over 2.3 million visitors in museums in major cities across the North American continent.

Since first established, Wolf Song of Alaska has operated expansive, world-class, internationally-acclaimed wolf museums, wolf exhibits, education centers and gift shops throughout the Anchorage area.

Most recently, and over a period of two years, Wolf Song of Alaska presented a substantial wolf exhibit at The Mall at Sears in mid-town Anchorage.

Planning and development of Wolf Song of Alaska's multi-faceted wolf facility is always ongoing. Focus is on the educational and scientific aspects of the wolf, and will include a visitor center, museum, theater, lecture hall, veterinary care center, predator and prey habitats, observation facilities, and other supporting amenities.

Like most non-profit organizations, Wolf Song of Alaska soley depends upon the generosity of its visitors, corporate and individual donors, sponsors, its tireless volunteers, and its highly valued and appreciated members.
